This is a TEMPORARY opportunity starting May 1st through August 31st. Requirements
- Love of the outdoors
- Ability to complete Electrical Hazard Awareness Program and OSHA training
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
- valid driver’s license
Nice To Haves
- Commercial Driver’s License-Class A or B with Airbrake Endorsement
- vegetation control experience or other related work
- relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
- ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional®
Responsibilities
- Maintain standard levels of vegetation in the area surrounding utility poles by applying herbicides to control weeds and grasses
- Using equipment to maintain appropriate levels of vegetation
- Following contracts for work requirements and job specifications
- Collect data to monitor and manage levels of invasive species of vegetation
- Properly maintain, calibrate, and operate all tools and equipment including, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.
