About The Position

The primary purpose of this role is to perform industry-leading vegetation management and weed control services for residential and commercial customers. You will be responsible for identifying invasive plant species and noxious weeds, conducting site assessments, applying targeted herbicide treatments, and implementing mechanical control methods. Your goal is to restore and maintain the aesthetic and structural integrity of our clients' properties while adhering to strict environmental safety regulations and providing expert guidance on long-term land management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license from your state of residence with a clean driving record.
  • State-mandated Pesticide Applicator License (specifically in categories like Right-of-Way or Ornamental & Turf); we will provide training and coverage for those looking to get certified.
  • Availability to work Monday-Friday, with occasional weekends during peak growing seasons.
  • A commitment to environmental stewardship and a willingness to become an expert in local plant identification.
  • Solid communication skills for explaining technical treatment plans to clients.
  • Basic math skills for calculating tank mixes, flow rates, and application concentrations based on label instructions.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.

  • Related experience in landscaping, forestry, or agriculture is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough site assessments of client properties to identify invasive species, brush overgrowth, and potential fire or structural hazards.
  • Apply approved vegetation control products, including specialized herbicides and growth regulators, using precision spray equipment to eliminate target weeds while protecting desirable foliage.
  • Educate customers on integrated vegetation management (IVM) and the importance of ecological balance, providing advice on native planting and long-term prevention.
  • Build relationships with customers, manage service schedules, identify opportunities for service upgrades, and assist in expanding our footprint to new properties.
  • Maintain and calibrate equipment, including high-volume sprayers, backpack applicators, and mechanical trimmers, ensuring everything is in peak working condition.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding chemical applications, environmental runoff protocols, and pesticide safety.
  • Drive and safely operate a company-provided service vehicle (we provide routine maintenance) equipped with specialized application tanks.
