Greene County Public Health is seeking a Vector Control Technician contractor to work in our Mosquito Control Program Department. This is a temporary, contractor position with an FLSA status of Exempt. The role reports to the Environmental Health Director and requires 50-80% travel. The work schedule is typically 8 am - 4 pm, Monday-Friday, with adjustments possible with supervisor approval. Evenings and weekends may be required based on work demands. The compensation is $22.00 per hour, with a maximum of 360 hours, and mileage reimbursement at $0.725 per mile. The incumbent will set and collect mosquito traps, prepare adult mosquitos for shipment, identify mosquito larvae, educate residents on mosquito abatement, investigate mosquito nuisance complaints, maintain accurate records, and responsibly maintain and store equipment. Additional mosquito control related tasks may be assigned.
