As a VDI Engineer supporting the Government, you will be trusted to engineer new and improved enhancements for existing and emerging virtual desktop technologies. In this role, a typical day will include engineering, designing, testing, implementing, maintaining, securing, and managing the full life cycle of complex Citrix Xen Desktop and NetScaler solutions deployed in a large Enterprise environment. You will also design and support Microsoft infrastructure solutions, including Azure Virtual Desktop, on-prem, cloud, and hybrid. This role involves interacting with Government stakeholders regarding technical considerations for problems, issues, or conflicts, and engineering, implementing, mitigating, monitoring, and tuning the VDI environment and management software to obtain Authorize to Operate (ATO) for new VDI solutions. You will manage Citrix products (Virtual Apps, Virtual Desktops, ADC, Provisioning) and Azure products (Azure Virtual Desktops), operate and execute scripting skills in PowerShell or Python, and provide Tier 3 and above support as needed (troubleshooting, problem resolution support, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)). Additionally, you will prepare and maintain documentation for VDI solutions, processes, and procedures related to engineering projects.
