VDC Manager Reports To Director of Technology Direct Reports VDC Coordinator(s), as assigned Qualifications Experience • 7–10 years of construction experience • Minimum of 5 years of VDC/BIM experience on construction projects Education • Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience Technical Skills Software Proficiency Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD Autodesk Construction Cloud Bluebeam ESRI GIS Tools Microsoft Office Suite Working Knowledge SketchUp and other modeling platforms Primavera P6 or similar scheduling software Building systems, components, and trade sequencing Plan and specification interpretation Subcontractor/vendor scopes of work Key Responsibilities Leadership & Strategy Develop, implement, and maintain company VDC standards and procedures Lead project-specific VDC/BIM protocols and execution strategies Approve and manage BIM Execution Plans with input from project teams and clients Identify high-priority coordination areas and manage model integration efforts Project Execution Manage all project VDC/BIM requirements, including contract deliverables (e.g., COBie, GIS) Support preconstruction visualizations and model-based proposals Coordinate across project teams, design partners, and owners to ensure alignment and successful outcomes Ensure quality control procedures are in place to maintain model accuracy and data integrity Oversee BIM Coordinators or perform BIM coordination duties when necessary Manage multiple projects simultaneously under the direction of multiple supervisors Relationship Management Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal leadership and team members Collaborate effectively with design teams, owners, and subcontractors Represent BLHI professionally within the community and industry Participate in VDC/BIM industry groups and professional organizations Corporate Alignment Demonstrate and uphold BLHI’s corporate values Promote professionalism, accountability, and proactive communication Pursue ongoing professional development Support company initiatives and community involvement Work Environment & Physical Requirements Ability to work in office, jobsite, or approved remote settings Moderate physical activity including sitting, walking jobsites, and effective communication Travel to jobsites as required based on project demands
