Manage the Virtual design and construction modeling process to help to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within allotted budget. This role involves working with on-site Virtual Design & Construction staff to update models to reflect as-built conditions, driving and leading the implementation of these technologies on large-scale construction projects, and managing, training, and supervising the VD&C team according to Company policy. The VDC Manager will also lead clash detection and RFI resolution with project teams in preconstruction efforts and direct 4D scheduling efforts using BIM models in conjunction with project schedules. Support is provided for BIM and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) production operations, Revit, Vico or other modeling platforms and interoffice collaboration on these platforms together with IT staff, MEP staff and Project Controls staff. The role includes developing training material and conducting BIM training with new and existing employees, and working with local, regional and corporate IT and VDC staff in support, maintenance and development of firm-wide BIM standards and 3D CAD tools. Participation as an integral team member in the adoption of the Virtual Design & Construction program is also expected, along with other duties as assigned.
