About The Position

The VDC Engineer supports the organization’s use of technology throughout the project lifecycle, partnering with Preconstruction and Operations teams on design-assist projects from preconstruction through project turnover. The role helps teams build projects digitally to identify and resolve issues before construction, and collaborates across disciplines to evaluate scenarios and improve decisions and processes. The position supports digital deliverables and workflows such as visual mock-ups, logistics and phasing plans, 4D schedules, trade coordination, clash detection, construction aides, model development, quantity take-offs, and as-built documentation. It also provides technical support for in-house applications, helps manage model changes, and assists project teams in establishing and applying project-specific VDC strategies and standards. Work is primarily indoors in a main office or construction-site field office, with occasional outdoor work in varying weather and exposure to construction-site noise and safety hazards. The role may involve light travel, generally an occasional day trip or overnight trip to project sites, and the work environment is described as demanding and fast-paced.
