VDC Director
About The Position
The VDC Director will be responsible for overseeing Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) initiatives. This role involves working with and requiring experience in various software and methodologies, including Agile framework, Autodesk Suite (Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud), Bluebeam Revu, and Procore. The Director will manage project teams, understand building systems (architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection), and have experience in commercial, residential, hospitality, and healthcare construction sectors. Key responsibilities include project accounting, financials, forecasting, BIM coordination, client relationship management, stakeholder engagement, meeting facilitation, and issue resolution. A significant part of the role involves Revizto implementation, including its search set fundamentals, clash automation, and codifying coordination templates. The position may require relocation or occasional travel to project-based unanticipated worksites within the USA.
Requirements
- Master's degree with 5 years of experience OR Bachelor's degree with 7 years of experience
- Majors: Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent
- Experience with Agile framework
- Experience with Autodesk Suite (Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud)
- Experience with Bluebeam Revu
- Experience with Procore
- Experience in Project management
- Experience leading and coordinating project teams without a performance management aspect
- Knowledge of building systems (architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection)
- Experience in commercial, residential, hospitality, healthcare construction sectors
- Experience with project accounting, financials, and forecasting
- Experience with BIM coordination
- Experience in client relationship building and relationship management
- Experience working with multiple project stakeholders, facilitating meetings, and driving issue resolution
