VDC Coordinator

KUNZ•Golden, CO
•$70,000 - $140,000•Onsite

About The Position

Kunz is expanding its BIM/VDC team to support global hyperscale data center programs. We are seeking technically driven professionals who want to apply their expertise to complex building systems, solve multidisciplinary design challenges, and advance how model-based information moves from engineering into construction. The work extends beyond individual projects. Models, content, and workflows developed here support repeatable building systems deployed across a broader infrastructure program. This is an opportunity to influence both the technical deliverables and the methods used to produce them at scale. We welcome BIM/VDC practitioners and experienced technical specialists from architecture, engineering, construction, and design technology. Previous data center experience is valuable, but not required. Working across engineering, product architecture, VDC, and construction, you will help turn complex design and product information into coordinated, reusable digital deliverables. The role combines hands-on Revit development, multidisciplinary coordination, model quality, and the improvement of digital delivery workflows. Assignments may include developing configurable Revit content, integrating manufacturer equipment models, resolving interfaces between building systems, or establishing the information standards that make models reliable for downstream teams. You will work directly with engineers, vendors, A/E partners, construction teams, and owner stakeholders to address technical challenges and move deliverables forward. Opportunities are available across multiple experience levels. Experienced candidates can take greater ownership of technical scopes, contribute to program standards, and mentor colleagues while remaining closely involved in the technical work. At Kunz, the opportunity is to do more than deliver the next model. It is to help establish how complex design information is structured, coordinated, and used across an infrastructure program. For professionals who want to deepen their technical expertise and influence how projects are delivered, this role offers both hands-on work and a broader field of impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, design technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in BIM, VDC, architectural or engineering design, design technology, or model-based project delivery.
  • Professional experience using Autodesk Revit for building design, engineering, construction, or BIM/VDC applications.
  • Professional experience developing or maintaining Revit models, families, parameters, schedules, or other model content.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong hands-on Revit skills, with demonstrated capability in model development, families, parameters, schedules, or model organization.
  • Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud, Navisworks, or comparable coordination tools.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, product information, and construction documents, with a practical understanding of how building systems fit together.
  • Clear technical communication, sound judgment, and the ability to manage priorities and take responsibility for deliverables.
  • Experience with hyperscale data centers, mission-critical facilities, or other complex commercial, industrial, or institutional projects.
  • Experience with modular or configurable building systems or product-based design.
  • Experience with MCAD-to-BIM workflows, manufacturer equipment models, or configurable product models.
  • For senior-level consideration, demonstrated ownership of complex technical scopes, experience improving standards or workflows, and the ability to guide others through coordination and delivery challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Revit models, families, structured parameters, and reusable content that support coordinated building systems and consistent deployment across projects.
  • Translate engineering and manufacturer information into usable BIM deliverables, including support for MCAD-to-BIM workflows and configurable product models.
  • Coordinate interfaces between disciplines, equipment, and building systems, working with project partners to resolve technical issues and communicate design changes.
  • Review models for geometric accuracy, data quality, completeness, and readiness for downstream design and construction use.
  • Maintain Autodesk Construction Cloud environments, model structures, information exchanges, and issue workflows.
  • Plan, track, and deliver assigned BIM/VDC scopes, identifying dependencies and communicating decisions, priorities, and outstanding issues.
  • Improve templates, standards, and quality-control methods to make digital delivery more reliable and repeatable.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off
