About The Position

The Vendor Compliance Auditor Specialist I is responsible for auditing outbound shipments to ensure compliance in all areas. This role involves following individual retailer standards, identifying potential compliance issues, and assisting in resolving customer chargebacks. The specialist will also collaborate with the shipping department to ensure accurate shipments and maintain effective working relationships. Additionally, the role requires auditing outbound shipments for accuracy, utilizing provided guides, maintaining C-TPAT certification, and supporting rework teams. Communication of findings, education on compliance matters, and report generation are key aspects of this position. The specialist will collaborate with all departments to ensure personnel compliance with customer requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of previous experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence others by clearly communicating a position and its desired benefits relative to alternatives.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).
  • Requires knowledge of Internet access and research.

Responsibilities

  • Follows individual retailer standards on all outbound shipments.
  • Identifies potential issues such as label quality, GS 1 label placement and requirements, license plate placement, contents inside carton match labels, pallet accuracy, truck loading, UPC placement and requirements, carton label placement and requirements, pallets/strapping requirements, RFID placement and requirements, packing slip requirements, product substitution, pillow bags closed/wrapped, and shipping check sheets.
  • Helps resolve issues that arise from customer chargebacks.
  • Alerts warehouse management to issues and potential resolutions.
  • Provides follow-up to ensure recommendations are implemented to eliminate repeat offenses.
  • Teams with other functioning areas of shipping as needed to help facilitate the overall shipment as accurately as possible.
  • Maintains effective working relationships with the shipping department to ensure shipment audits are effective.
  • Assists with troubleshooting and problem-solving and escalates where needed.
  • Follows up promptly to ensure ATC expectations are met.
  • Utilizes load proofs to capture scanning of GS 1 labels, pictures of pallets, and loading of truck to assist with disputing all financial chargebacks.
  • Audits outbound shipments for accuracy of GS 1 labels, carton content, and 2ups matching GS1 labels.
  • Utilizes label guides and vendor guides supplied by Vendor Compliance Corporate.
  • Maintains C-TPAT certification needs.
  • Supports rework team members by auditing outbound shipments and reviewing product accuracy, count accuracy, 2 UP Labels, license plate placement, price ticket placement and accuracy, and count accuracy.
  • Communicates all findings to the VC Team.
  • Educates others on VC Saves, Detentions, Repeat Offenders, and Customer Requirements.
  • Prepares VC Saves reports and weekly recaps to ensure transparency.
  • Collaborates with all departments to ensure their personnel is compliant according to customer requirements.
