The Vault Teller Supervisor is responsible for the oversight and coordination of route and dispatch functions, controlling operational costs, and ensuring the safety and security of employees, vehicles, facilities, and cargo. This role involves investigating accidents, developing customer service capabilities, responding to customer inquiries, and coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders. The supervisor is also responsible for managing overtime, employee schedules, and ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of operational functions. They will play a key role in short and long-range operational planning to meet branch goals and will communicate with all employees to resolve issues. This position requires knowledge of transit vault, coin vault, and CMS operations, and involves daily consultation with the Operations/Branch Manager. The supervisor is responsible for training, counseling, disciplining, and evaluating employees under their direction. They will also communicate with customers, sales, and administration, and may assume limited responsibilities in the absence of the Operations/Branch Manager. The role directs operations to meet broad branch objectives, including vault operations, scheduling, and policy enforcement, with a focus on branch profitability through quality and efficiency. Control of losses, damages, and injuries is achieved through effective risk management, safety programs, training, supervision, and discipline. The supervisor is expected to lead by example, model appropriate behaviors, and regularly monitor route activities and crew needs. Self-development and subordinate development through on-the-job training and other methods are also key aspects of this role. The supervisor must analyze complex factors to make decisions and resolve situations not covered by established policies.
