The Vault Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the route and dispatch functions, ensuring the safety of employees, vehicles, and facilities, and maintaining the security of cargo and the terminal. This role involves investigating accidents, developing customer service capabilities, and coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders. The supervisor will also manage operational costs, control overtime, monitor employee schedules, and contribute to short and long-range operational planning to meet branch goals. Direct communication with employees to resolve issues and handle additional responsibilities as assigned by management are key aspects of this position. The role requires knowledge of transit vault, coin vault, and CMS operations, and involves daily consultation with the Operations/Branch Manager. The supervisor is responsible for training, counseling, disciplining, and evaluating employees under their direction. Regular communication with customers, sales, and administration is also expected. The Vault Supervisor may assume limited responsibilities during the absence of the Operations/Branch Manager and is expected to direct operations to meet broad branch objectives, ensuring profitability and controlling losses, damages, and injuries through effective risk management, safety programs, training, supervision, and discipline. A high level of observable safety, security, and effectiveness in operating practices and equipment use is required, along with leadership by example. The role involves analyzing complex factors to make decisions and resolve situations not covered by established policies, ensuring the proper balancing of the vault daily for each shift, and timely completion of monthly commitments.
