About The Position
The primary responsibility is to set up and assist physicians in performing a variety of special studies, including interventional procedures, which often requires sterile technique, the introduction of a medical devices into designated areas of the body and digital processing of imaging.
Requirements
- ARRT(R) certification required
- Minimum of one‐year radiological technologist experience.
Nice To Haves
- Advanced certification ARRT(VI) or ARRT(CV) preferred.
- Prior experience in an IR or Cardiac Cath lab experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assists physicians with procedures, performs patient care duties according to standard care plan, physician preference, policy and procedure.
- Prepares sterile table and environment for angiographic procedures.
- Positions patient to image anatomic structures.
- Manages the sterile area and can appropriately operate all medical devices with the assistance of the physician.
- Knows the functions and controls of the imaging equipment within Interventional Radiology and the Hybrid OR.
- Knowledge of the HIS/RIS computer systems as it relates to Interventional Radiology.
- Provide call coverage during off hours.
- Maintains clean work area.
- Performs post processing of imaging.
- Completes all required consents and paperwork documentation.
- All other duties as assigned.
