About The Position

Perform non-invasive vascular ultrasound for patients admitted to Baptist Hospital, ranging in age from 5 years through geriatrics. Assess the vascular system according to the ordered exam and perform exams professionally, demonstrating technical accuracy and a thorough understanding of the equipment. Record exam results for interpretation by the Medical Director and assist with collecting and analyzing data for statistical purposes. A sign-on bonus is available for experienced candidates.

Requirements

• Graduate of an allied health field program.
• Must be registered or eligible for registry in vascular ultrasound through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), or through Cardiovascular Credentialing International as a Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS), within 3 months of hire.
• Applicants registered in another ultrasound registry, such as RDMS-AB, RDMS, RDCS, or RCS, must obtain RVT or RVS within 9 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 2 weeks of hire.
• CPR certification required.
• Graduates of an accredited vascular ultrasound program must be registered within 3 months of hire.

• Associate degree preferred.
