About The Position

This position is for a Vascular Technologist I at the Clear Lake Campus. It is a PRN (as needed) position, primarily working weekend days, with a maximum of 19 hours per week. This role is not benefits-eligible. The technologist may be required to travel to other UTMB campuses for coverage.

Requirements

• Satisfactory completion of a formal vascular technology training program OR Graduate from a diagnostic ultrasound training program (2-4 years).
• On the job training is accepted if already registered.
• Must be registered or registry eligible. Registry eligible must be registered within 6 months of hire.
• 0+ years of experience.
• American Heart Association (BLS) certification.
• One of the following certifications: American Registry for Radiology Technologist (ARRT-VS), American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS- RVT), or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RVS).
• Registry eligible (must be registered within 6 months of hire).

Nice To Haves

• Current RVT or RVS strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform vascular technology procedures.
• Travel to other UTMB campuses as needed for coverage.
