This role involves independently performing vascular ultrasound testing, including arterial, venous, and carotid imaging. The Vascular Technologist will ensure accurate preliminary findings and documentation, communicate abnormal results promptly to physicians and clinical staff, and follow up on physician instructions. The position also includes coordinating the daily vascular lab schedule, working with nursing units and physician offices to ensure efficient department operations, and maintaining patient comfort and safety throughout testing. Responsibilities extend to operating, cleaning, and maintaining vascular ultrasound equipment, providing intraoperative ultrasound support, assisting with staff training, and supporting department operations through scheduling, documentation, coding/reimbursement, accreditation activities, ongoing education, and coverage at other vascular sites as needed.
