About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Vascular Sonographer to join our growing diagnostic imaging team. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality noninvasive vascular ultrasound examinations to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating vascular conditions. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with physicians and healthcare professionals in a fast-paced clinical environment. As a Vascular Sonographer, you will play a critical role in evaluating arterial and venous systems throughout the body, producing accurate diagnostic images, and ensuring exceptional patient experiences. This position offers an opportunity to work with advanced ultrasound technology while contributing directly to positive patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of vascular ultrasound examinations, including carotid, venous, arterial, abdominal vascular, and peripheral vascular studies.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment and associated technologies to obtain high-quality diagnostic images and Doppler waveforms.
  • Review patient medical histories and physician orders to determine appropriate examination protocols.
  • Assess image quality and ensure studies meet established clinical and accreditation standards.
  • Identify and document anatomical, physiological, and pathological findings for physician interpretation.
  • Prepare comprehensive preliminary technical findings and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Educate patients regarding examination procedures and address questions or concerns with professionalism and empathy.
  • Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, vascular surgeons, cardiologists, and other healthcare providers to support timely diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment and report any operational issues or maintenance needs.
  • Adhere to infection prevention protocols, patient privacy regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives, continuing education, and departmental improvement activities.
  • Assist with accreditation compliance and departmental documentation requirements.
  • Maintain current knowledge of evolving vascular imaging techniques, protocols, and best practices.
