About The Position

Skilled Wound Care, a premier national physician group, is hiring Vascular Surgeons in Rockville, MD to work as wound care physicians and lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities across the area. This no-call Vascular Surgeon job offers a high-impact career without the corporate red tape. It offers a true Monday–Friday surgeon job, so your evenings and weekends belong to you and your family. Surgical debridement and bedside procedures stay part of your daily practice. Bedside procedures are far easier on your back, neck and shoulders, so you can keep practicing for years to come. You will have clinical autonomy to direct patient outcomes based on your surgical expertise, not a hospital committee or department hierarchy. Our custom software is designed to slash admin time, so you’re not stuck charting at midnight when you could be home at a reasonable hour.

Requirements

Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution
Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one)
DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one
No previous wound care experience is required; we provide comprehensive wound care training

Responsibilities

Surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures
Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds, including arterial, venous and diabetic ulcers
Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols
Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and the post-acute setting, where you follow patients through healing
