Vascular Sonographer Full Time Days
About The Position
Full time vascular technologist position covering inpatient and outpatient services. Includes 4 ten hour shifts per week. Call and weekend rotation required. Rotating holiday coverage. Sign-On Bonus for Experienced Candidates. Patient population includes any patient admitted to Baptist Hospital, age 5 years to geriatrics. Assesses the vascular system according to the exam ordered. Performs the vascular exams in a professional manner demonstrating technical accuracy and a thorough understanding of the equipment. Records the results of the exam for interpretation by the Medical Director. Assists with the collection and analysis of data for statistical purposes. Requirements
- Graduate of an allied health field program.
- Must be registered or be an eligible candidate for registry in Vascular Ultrasound through either the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) OR Cardiovascular Credentialing International as a Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) within 3 months of hire.
- Applicants who are registered in another ultrasound registry, such as, RDMS-AB, RDMS, RDCS, or RCS must obtain their RVT or RVS within 9 months of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 2 weeks of hire.
- Graduates of an accredited vascular ultrasound program must be registered within 3 months of hire.
- CPR certification required

- Associate Degree program preferred.
