About The Position

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join the dynamic team at their St. Francis Heart & Vascular Center in Topeka, Kansas. This is an opportunity to become part of a well-established and growing practice while benefiting from the resources of a renowned academic health system. The role involves working alongside physicians to evaluate imaging and develop comprehensive care plans for patients with Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) and venous disease. It also includes providing procedural support for venous interventions, such as radiofrequency and chemical ablation. The position is full-time (1.0 FTE) and outpatient, within a comprehensive cardiology group that includes cardiologists, APPs, CT surgeons, and cardiothoracic APPs. Clinical practice is the focus, with no research or teaching required. The role offers 4 hours of administrative time each week and has on-site access to procedure rooms and testing facilities including Nuclear Stress, Echo, Echo Stress, Exercising Stress testing, Vascular Sonography, Coumadin Clinic, Cardiac Rehab, Vein Clinic, and Device Clinic. Referrals come from primary care, multiple specialists, hospitalists, and outreach. The APP will coordinate care for vascular patients across various departments like cardiology, IR, and vascular surgery. The schedule is Monday-Friday clinic hours, with a daily patient load of approximately 2.5 patients per hour. The practice utilizes Epic EMR and Ambience AI scribe technology to automate documentation and improve efficiency, aiming for better work-life balance. Advanced imaging systems such as CV PACS Fuji, EKG Epiphany, and 3mensio structural heart are available. The health system also has outreach locations in 9 secondary service areas.

Requirements

  • Must be an Advanced Practice Provider (APP).
  • Experience with vascular interventions is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Epic EMR and Ambience AI scribe technology is beneficial.
  • Experience with advanced imaging systems like CV PACS Fuji, EKG Epiphany, and 3mensio structural heart is a plus.

Responsibilities
