Vascular/General Ultrasound Technologist
About The Position
The selected Full Time Vascular/General Ultrasound will perform ultrasonic examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by the Provider. Performs various technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative when applying ultrasound techniques for radiologic diagnosis. Responsible for the safety and comfort of all patients undergoing ultrasound procedures. Ensure that all procedures have been appropriately ordered with patient identification obtained before performing the procedure. Perform all procedures according to departmental protocol. Will need to work independently.
Requirements
- ARRT, ARDMS and/or RVT Registration or registry available
- Current BLS required.
- At least 2 years of experience in a hospital or outpatient clinical setting performing ultrasound strongly preferred.
- Persuasive communication skills; verbal and written.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a diverse patient population.
- Professional aptitude, presentation, and demeanor.
Nice To Haves
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification preferred.
Responsibilities

- Order supplies needed for his/her area.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
