About The Position

The Vascular Access Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates vascular access nursing care for patients according to Froedtert Hospital's nursing professional practice model. This is an on-site position at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with an FTE of 0.525 and 21 standard hours per week. The schedule is 6:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 7:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday every other week. The position includes working every other weekend and holidays that fall during the employee’s scheduled work week.

Requirements

A minimum of two years of recent direct patient care experience as a registered nurse in a medical/surgical or critical care clinical setting.
Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice normally acquired through completion of at least two years of education at an accredited School of Nursing, sufficient to be eligible for Registered Nurse licensure.
Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse license or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating Nurse Licensure Compact state.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certification or an AHA-approved equivalent, required within 90 days.
