About The Position

The Buckley School is seeking a qualified Tennis Assistant Coach to coach the varsity tennis team for the 2026-2027 school year. Responsibilities may include assisting with organizing and running practices, scheduling games, coaching at games, scouting and overseeing individual and team conditioning workouts, compiling statistics administering basic first aid, and other duties as required.

Requirements

• Previous coaching or competitive tennis experience at the junior high/high school or collegiate level
• Demonstrated competency in diversity, equity, and inclusion
• Bachelor's degree
• Experience coaching baseball teams
• Be outgoing and friendly
• Enthusiastic for the sport
• Current driver's license and clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Assisting with organizing and running practices
• Scheduling games
• Coaching at games
• Scouting
• Overseeing individual and team conditioning workouts
• Compiling statistics
• Administering basic first aid
• Other duties as required
• Operate a school-provided van to transport student-athletes to away games, practices, or other school-sanctioned events as needed
