The Transmission and Extraction Operations team is actively hiring for a Supervisor, Vantage, Burstall & AEGS Operations. This role reports to the Manager of Extraction & C2 Operations and is accountable for the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of Pembina’s Vantage, AEGS, and Burstall transmission and storage assets. The Supervisor provides frontline leadership to operations and maintenance field teams, ensuring strong safety performance, asset integrity, regulatory compliance, and effective coordination across geographically distributed assets. This is a visible, hands-on leadership role, balancing day-to-day operational execution with longer-term reliability, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives across critical C2 infrastructure. The Transmission & Extraction Operations asset is responsible for the safe, reliable, and compliant transportation and extraction of hydrocarbons across Pembina’s integrated pipeline and facilities network, delivering critical connectivity between upstream supply and downstream markets while maintaining a strong focus on asset integrity, operational discipline, and regulatory excellence.

Requirements

  • Journeyperson ticket, Engineering Technologist diploma, or an equivalent combination of education and progressive operational experience
  • Progressive experience in pipeline, transmission, cavern, or comparable midstream operations
  • Prior supervisory, shift lead, or lead-hand experience in a 24/7 operational or field-based environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of safety leadership, regulatory compliance, and asset integrity principles within an industrial operating context
  • Experience working across geographically dispersed assets and multidisciplinary teams
  • Background in plant or industrial operations with progressively increasing responsibility and decision-making accountability
  • Proven ability to provide frontline leadership, take ownership for shift-level decisions, and lead safe, reliable operations during routine and non-routine conditions
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly set expectations, coordinate across teams, and ensure effective shift handover and operational continuity
  • Well-developed organizational skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, 24/7 operating environment
  • Demonstrated learning agility, with the ability to adapt to changing operating conditions, incorporate new information, and continuously improve operational outcomes
  • Experience supporting or leading the training, coaching, and development of operational staff; models a low-ego, accountable leadership approach that builds capability and trust
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with confidence to make decisions aligned with operational standards, safety expectations, and business priorities
  • Must be legally able to work in the country of the position
  • Required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check

Responsibilities

  • Lead and reinforce Pembina’s safety culture of Zero by Choice, ensuring compliance with Life Saving Rules, OEMS, and regulatory requirements (AER, CER)
  • Accountable for safe execution of operations, maintenance, and emergency response activities across Vantage, AEGS, and Burstall assets
  • Act as delegate leadership during unplanned events, incidents, or emergency response activations as required
  • Provide direct supervision, coaching, and performance management to operations and maintenance employees and contractors
  • Build a strong team culture grounded in accountability, operational discipline, and continuous learning
  • Support capability development, learning agility, and low-ego leadership behaviors within the team
  • Ensure adherence to operating procedures, standards, and maintenance programs to protect asset integrity and system reliability
  • Partner with Engineering, Integrity, Planning & Scheduling, and Control Centre teams to manage risk, resolve issues, and optimize asset performance
  • Identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities and lead corrective actions aligned with OEMS and continuous improvement principles
  • Ensure operations meet all applicable regulatory, environmental, and company requirements across Alberta and Saskatchewan jurisdictions
  • Support audits, inspections, exercises, and tabletop reviews; ensure action items are tracked and closed
  • Build effective working relationships with internal partners and external stakeholders as required
