About The Position

This position follows the school year calendar. We are looking for a Driver of a 12-passenger van/mini-bus, driving students to and from the Before & After School program and engaging students in learning for the remainder of the shift. Our learning centers are open between the hours of 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Monday - Friday. We have locations across Rhode Island. We have full time positions or part time positions (with flexible schedules available).

Requirements

1 year of experience working with School Age children.
A personal demeanor that is warm and friendly.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Organized and able to prioritize and multi-task.
Team-oriented and willing to work with others.
A Chauffeur License is needed for this position.
Able to engage in physical exercise with children (walking, running, crawling, bending, twisting).
Visual and hearing acuity.
Able to lift up to 40 pounds.
21 years of age or older.
Able to read, write, speak and understand English.
Must pass national criminal background/fingerprints check.
Must pass Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) Clearance Request (CPS).

Nice To Haves

CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Driving company vehicle to and from schools and/or field trips.
Monitoring the behavior of all children in the vehicle.
Operating vehicle safely at all times in accordance with all traffic and driving laws.
Checking the condition of vehicle to ensure that everything is in working order.
Working as a team with the Lead Teacher to provide a safe, healthy, structured, and welcoming environment to grow and learn.
