About The Position
Position includes assisting Special Needs students. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned: Safe Transport: Drive assigned routes on time while obeying all traffic laws and school board of company regulations. Passenger Assistance: Help passengers board and exit the vehicle, including operating wheelchair lifts, securing tie-downs, and fastening specialized seat belts or car seats. Vehicle inspections: Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip safety checks of the vehicle, equipment, fluid levels, and tires. Behavior & Safety Management: Maintain a calm environment, monitor passenger safety, and follow specific individual behavior support or emergency protocols. Communication & Logs: Keep accurate daily mileage, attendance, and incident logs; communicate clearly with parents, school staff, or transportation.
