About The Position

The Wayne County Transportation Department in Honesdale, PA is hiring dependable, compassionate drivers to provide door-to-door transportation for county residents, including helping seniors access essential services and appointments. This part-time position involves driving county vehicles an average of 150 miles each day, assisting passengers with boarding and exiting, communicating with consumers and staff, and adapting to daily route changes. Requirements

One year of employment which required operation of a motor vehicle as a regular duty; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
No suspension of driver’s license within the last three years.
Meet the PA residency requirement.
Able to perform essential job functions.
Pass a background investigation.
Pass a medical examination and drug screening.
Satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
