About The Position
The Academy of Learning at NCSS is seeking reliable, compassionate individuals to join our team as van drivers. The Academy is an Independent Skills Building Program serving adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, and transportation is a key part of helping our clients engage with their day. This is a part-time position, with shifts available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 6:00am–9:00am and 2:15pm–5:00pm. Drivers can work one day a week or multiple days, depending on availability.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license (CDL not required)
- Ability to pass a background check
- Dependable and friendly attitude
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with or without experience.
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and auto registration.
Responsibilities
- Transport clients to and from the Academy.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of clients during transport.
- Maintain the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the van.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
