Requirements

• One year of employment which required operation of a motor vehicle as a regular duty; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
• No suspension of driver’s license within the last three years.
• Meet the PA residency requirement.
• Able to perform essential job functions.
• Pass a background investigation.
• Submit to a medical examination and drug screening.
• Satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.

Responsibilities

• Drive a variety of agency vehicles to transport consumers as listed on the mobile data tablet
• Provide safe and supportive door-to-door service, including helping consumers on and off the vehicle and carrying packages
• Follow agency mission and training practices to ensure professional, safe, reliable, comfortable, and courteous transportation
• Communicate with office staff through two-way radio, mobile data tablet, or cellphone
• Complete daily maintenance checks, report problems, and clean and disinfect the vehicle each day
• Pick up and drop off consumers according to assigned schedules and report schedule issues to the dispatcher
