About The Position

LifeCare Alliance is seeking a Part-Time Van Driver to join their team. The primary responsibility is delivering and picking up meals, equipment, and other assigned items to locations in Central Ohio using a program vehicle. This role requires adherence to schedules, maintaining vehicle readiness, effective communication, and ensuring the safety and comfort of clients, particularly older adults and handicapped individuals.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to read and write
• Ability to navigate using a map
• Must pass Agency’s defensive driving test
• Must pass cargo van driving test

Responsibilities

• Delivering and picking up meals and other assigned items to locations in Central Ohio using program vehicle.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery and pickup of items as per schedule.
• Maintain the cleanliness and operational readiness of the program vehicle.
• Communicate effectively with clients and staff to coordinate delivery and pickup schedules.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
• Assist older adults and handicapped individuals with the delivery and pickup process, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Complete necessary documentation and reports related to deliveries and pickups.
• Participate in agency’s defensive driving and cargo van driving tests to ensure compliance with safety standards.
