About The Position

LCB Senior Living is hiring a Van Driver at The Residence at Paine Estate. This is a rewarding role working with seniors, promoting the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living. The role involves an active part in growing community occupancy by representing and interacting positively with potential residents, family members, and professionals. The Van Driver is responsible for operating a 7 to 14+ passenger vehicle, ensuring its readiness for transport, assisting residents with entering and leaving the vehicle, and enforcing safety rules during travel. Additionally, the role includes servicing the vehicle, performing minor repairs, attending in-services, responding to resident requests, and assisting in planning residence activities.

Requirements

  • Excellent driving skills and knowledge of servicing an automobile.
  • Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and completely.
  • A minimum of three-years driving experience.
  • A valid drivers license in the communitys State.
  • No more than two moving violations in a three-year period on the driving record as determined by your facilities insurance broker.
  • Finger and hand dexterity to handle and manipulate instruments and equipment.
  • Visual and auditory acuity.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of fifteen (25) lbs. and be able to carry objects.
  • Must be able to push and pull carts, and continuously walk, sit and stand.
  • Must be able to turn, crouch, kneel, stoop, bend below waist, and reach above shoulder height as tasks dictate.
  • Must use good body mechanics.
  • Must be able to type and use a computer.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operates a 7 to 14+ passenger vehicle.
  • Ensure vehicle(s) are always ready for transport. This includes but is not limited to: safety checks, first aid supplies and updated resident emergency information sheets.
  • Assist the residents with entering and leaving the vehicle.
  • Assist with baggage as needed.
  • Enforces safety rules when traveling.
  • Secures all necessary paperwork for appointments and delivers paperwork to appropriate persons.
  • Transports residents to and from appointments, group activities, and other destinations.
  • Services the vehicle with fuel, oil, necessary fluids and maintains vehicle in a clean and sanitary condition.
  • Performs emergency repairs as needed.
  • Attends required in-services and orientation.
  • Responds to residents request and other duties as requested.
  • Assist in planning, developing, organizing and implementation of all residence activities.
