Requirements

• One year of employment which required operation of a motor vehicle as a regular duty; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
• No suspension of driver’s license within the last three years.
• Meet the PA residency requirement.
• Able to perform essential job functions.
• Satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles safely and skillfully while following all state traffic laws
• Navigate the local area using general knowledge of routes and landmarks
• Inspect automotive equipment to identify signs of defective operation
• Assist consumers during transport and provide basic information about riding in county vehicles
• Protect all consumer information and maintain confidentiality at all times
