About The Position

LCB Senior Living is hiring part-time Van Drivers at The Residence at Bala Cynwyd. This role is essential for transporting residents to appointments, group activities, and other destinations, while ensuring their safety and comfort. The position requires excellent driving skills, a commitment to customer service, and the ability to handle various situations calmly and effectively. Associates will also be involved in maintaining the vehicle and assisting with planning resident activities.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years driving record.
Excellent driving skills and knowledge of servicing an automobile.
Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing.
Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and completely.
A valid driver's license in the community's State.
No more than two moving violations in a three-year period on the driving record.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs and be able to carry objects.
Must be able to push and pull carts, and continuously walk, sit and stand.
Must be able to turn, crouch, kneel, stoop, bend below waist, and reach above shoulder height as tasks dictate.
Must use good body mechanics.
Must be able to type and use a computer.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

Operates a 7 to 14+ passenger vehicle.
Ensure vehicle(s) are always ready for transport, including safety checks, first aid supplies, and updated resident emergency information.
Assist residents with entering and leaving the vehicle and with baggage as needed.
Enforce safety rules when traveling.
Secure all necessary paperwork for appointments and deliver it to appropriate persons.
Transport residents to and from appointments, group activities, and other destinations.
Service the vehicle with fuel, oil, and necessary fluids, and maintain it in a clean and sanitary condition.
Perform emergency repairs as needed.
Attend required in-services and orientation.
Respond to resident requests and other duties as requested.
Assist in planning, developing, organizing, and implementation of all residence activities.
Promote the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living.
Represent and interact positively with potential residents, family members, and professionals to grow community occupancy.
