About The Position

LCB Senior Living is hiring a Van Driver at Fieldstone at Chester Springs. This is a part-time position with a wage band of $18.00 - $20.00 per hour based on years of experience. The role involves promoting the mission and values of the residence, interacting positively with potential residents and their families, and ensuring the vehicle is always ready for transport. The Van Driver will assist residents entering and leaving the vehicle, enforce safety rules, and transport residents to various destinations. This position also includes assisting in planning and implementing residence activities.

Requirements

  • Excellent driving skills and knowledge of servicing an automobile.
  • Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and completely.
  • A minimum of three-years driving experience.
  • A valid drivers license in the communitys State.
  • No more than two moving violations in a three-year period on the driving record as determined by your facilities insurance broker.
  • Finger and hand dexterity to handle and manipulate instruments and equipment.
  • Visual and auditory acuity.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of fifteen (25) lbs. and be able to carry objects.
  • Must be able to push and pull carts, and continuously walk, sit and stand.
  • Must be able to turn, crouch, kneel, stoop, bend below waist, and reach above shoulder height as tasks dictate.
  • Must use good body mechanics.
  • Must be able to type and use a computer.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Promote the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living to residents, visitors, co-workers and the surrounding community.
  • Represent and interact positively with potential residents, family members and professionals to grow community occupancy.
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities with a positive attitude.
  • Operate a 7 to 14+ passenger vehicle.
  • Ensure vehicle(s) are always ready for transport, including safety checks, first aid supplies, and updated resident emergency information sheets.
  • Assist residents with entering and leaving the vehicle.
  • Assist with baggage as needed.
  • Enforce safety rules when traveling.
  • Secure all necessary paperwork for appointments and deliver paperwork to appropriate persons.
  • Transport residents to and from appointments, group activities, and other destinations.
  • Service the vehicle with fuel, oil, necessary fluids and maintain vehicle in a clean and sanitary condition.
  • Perform emergency repairs as needed.
  • Attend required in-services and orientation.
  • Respond to residents request and other duties as requested.
  • Assist in planning, developing, organizing and implementation of all residence activities.
