About The Position

Van Driver at Mesa Springs, part of Lifepoint Health. This role is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of patients from various locations and facilities to the Hospital campus and/or other designated locations. The driver will maintain a daily log of mileage and gasoline usage, submit gas receipts, and clean the interior of the vehicle regularly to ensure it is presentable for patient transport. Additionally, the position involves maintaining mileage records for scheduling routine maintenance, ensuring patient supervision, maintaining safety at all times, and treating patients with respect and dignity.

Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • Minimum of two (2) years paid or volunteer professional driving experience.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a customer service position.
  • Valid driver’s license and a favorable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), along with proof of insurance.
  • CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
  • May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred.
  • At least one (1) year experience driving 8-12 passenger vans professionally preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Clean the interior of the car on a regular basis, assuring the vehicle is presentable for the transport of patients.

  • Ensure that patients are supervised.
  • Maintain safety at all times.
  • Treat patients with respect and dignity.
