About The Position

Family Service Association is seeking an experienced part-time Van Driver for our Adult Day Health Program in Raynham, MA. The position involves transporting program participants, including those in wheelchairs, to and from the Adult Day Health Program site, as well as to other appointments and events as needed. The ideal candidate will prioritize safety and adhere to all regulations.

Requirements

Must maintain a valid drivers license with good driving record.
Must be able to successfully pass a random drug and alcohol test in addition to being enrolled in a drug consortium for random testing.
Complete and maintain CPR and First Aid certified.
Candidates must pass CORI and CPS (child protective services) background checks.

Nice To Haves

Experience with either elders or the disabled (ADH).
Experience driving commercial vehicles preferred.
Must possess an ability to work with others as part of a team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

Transport program participants according to established safety rules and road regulations, set by D.O.T.
Secure and maintain all required safety equipment in the vehicle.
Follow the Vehicle Maintenance Protocol and keep the Transportation Coordinator informed of all service needs.
Report any problems or maintenance concerns to the Transportation Coordinator.
Keep exterior and interior of vans clean and free of potentially hazardous materials.
Assist at sites as needed.
Maintain CPR and First Aid certification.
Ensure that all passengers have secured seatbelts at all times. Ensure wheelchairs are secure with tie downs at all times according to DOT regulations.
Maintain a daily transportation log.
Complete a Daily Pre and Post Trip Inspection Form.
Will drive para van as needed to ensure transportation needs are met.
