About The Position

Van Driver - Mammography Van Van Driver Job Code: TR2040 Full With Varying Hours Will be transporting MAMO Winnebago from event to event weekly to any location UVA Health provides services with additional Public Safety/Emergency Management administrative duties as assigned when not providing transportation duties. Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
1 year of experience working in long-term care or assisted living preferred.
CPR/First Aid/AED within 60 days of hire required.
Virginia Driver's license in good standing required.
Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
Basic computer skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Must have ability to drive 14-passenger bus.
VA Drivers record in good standing.

Responsibilities

The Van Driver is responsible for scheduling and transporting residents safely to and from various locations.
The team member assures maintenance of facility vehicles in a safe and clean operating condition.
performs all other responsibilities as assigned.
Communicates effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and all levels of authority.
Provides communication and updates to patients and guests and ensures their needs are being met, when applicable.
Responds quickly and properly to irregular and emergency situations.
Reviews processes, identifying and recommending opportunities for improvement.
Monitors the quality of core Public Safety processes.
Holds subordinates accountable for customer service standards and initiates remediation when needed.
Maintains confidentiality in all matters related to patient care and visitor issues.
Actively participates in identifying areas of opportunity to improve the experience for patients and guests.
Provides cultural information to facilitate support for a treatment plan.
Ensures that information pertaining to the patient's outpatient services, hospitalization, (i.e., advance directives, consents from treatment, diagnosis and prognosis, treatment plan, follow-up appointments and Health Care Education) are accurately communicated.
The incumbent may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned.
