About The Position

The Residence at Salem Woods is hiring a Part Time Van Driver. This role is responsible for operating a 7 to 14+ passenger vehicle, ensuring the vehicle is always ready for transport, assisting residents with entering and leaving the vehicle, and transporting residents to and from appointments, group activities, and other destinations. The position also involves servicing the vehicle, performing basic maintenance, and assisting in planning residence activities. Requirements

6+ years of Driving Experience
Wednesday and Sunday Availability
Weekday and Weekend Availability needed
Excellent driving skills and knowledge of servicing an automobile.
Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing.
Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and completely.
Valid driver's license in the community's State.
No more than two moving violations in a three-year period on the driving record.
Finger and hand dexterity to handle and manipulate instruments and equipment.
Visual and auditory acuity.
Must be able to lift a minimum of fifteen (25) lbs. and be able to carry objects.
Must be able to push and pull carts, and continuously walk, sit and stand.
Must be able to turn, crouch, kneel, stoop, bend below waist, and reach above shoulder height as tasks dictate.
Must use good body mechanics.
Must be able to type and use a computer.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

Promote the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living.
Represent and interact positively with potential residents, family members and professionals to grow community occupancy.
Operates a 7 to 14+ passenger vehicle.
Ensure vehicle(s) are always ready for transport, including safety checks, first aid supplies, and updated resident emergency information.
Assist residents with entering and leaving the vehicle and with baggage as needed.
Enforce safety rules when traveling.
Secure all necessary paperwork for appointments and deliver paperwork to appropriate persons.
Transport residents to and from appointments, group activities, and other destinations.
Service the vehicle with fuel, oil, necessary fluids and maintain vehicle in a clean and sanitary condition.
Perform emergency repairs as needed.
Attend required in-services and orientation.
Respond to residents request and other duties as requested.
Assist in planning, developing, organizing and implementation of all residence activities.
