About The Position

This role is for a Van Driver at Residence Inn DFW Airport North/Grapevine. The core standards for this role, and all MCR roles, are cleanliness and friendliness, aiming to provide clean, friendly, well-organized, and safe hotels for guests. Team members are expected to contribute to great guest satisfaction scores, handle challenging situations with hospitality, and possess knowledge of hotel facilities and amenities. Technology relevant to the role and proper phone etiquette are also important.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Experience in a hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to follow instructions, assigned tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to provide friendly service with a smile to guests.
  • Flexible schedule with availability days, nights, holidays, and weekends based on the demands of the hotel.
  • Must arrive and clock in on time for every shift worked and clock out at the scheduled shift ending time, unless otherwise directed by your immediate manager.
  • Never work while clocked out.
  • Must clock in/out for breaks at the designated time on your schedule.
  • Must provide sufficient notice as directed by your supervisor when calling out for a scheduled shift.
  • Regularly required to stand for sustained periods.
  • Regularly required to walk to accomplish tasks.
  • Regularly required to make substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Ability to lift and carry certain laundry supplies, linens, and other items.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience driving a van or similar vehicle.
  • Knowledge of the local area and surrounding attractions.

Responsibilities

  • Transporting guests to and from various locations.
  • Ensuring the van is clean, well-maintained, and safe for operation.
  • Assisting guests with luggage.
  • Providing friendly and helpful service to guests during transport.
  • Adhering to all traffic laws and company driving policies.
  • Maintaining a schedule for guest pick-ups and drop-offs.
  • Reporting any vehicle issues or maintenance needs promptly.
  • Assisting with other hotel duties as needed, demonstrating a 'can-do' attitude.
