About The Position

This position is responsible for the delivery of meals to seniors and other eligible participants in their homes. The schedule varies Monday - Friday, with 7:30 am to 12:00 pm, totaling 4.5 hours per shift. This is a part-time position with 0.375 FTE. Applications are accepted from current County employees and the public.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent competencies.
• Zero to six months of relevant prior experience.
• Proven basic arithmetic skills with ability to count and look-up numbered items, or sort times in numerical order.
• Ability to read and follow written directions.
• Valid driver's license.
• Proof of minimum liability auto insurance.
• Serving Safe Food certification provided by Walworth County.

Responsibilities

• Lift and transfer commercial pans to and from storage containers.
• Lift and transfer heated food storage containers to and from carts, counter tops and vehicles.
• Lift and carry meal delivery bags (soft sided coolers).
• Read and follow directions provided for the home delivery of prepared meals.
• Take temperature readings of food and record on designated sheets at each congregate meal site.
• Count and verify that the correct number of meals have been provided.
• Communicate with meal site coordinators and Meals on Wheels host site employees.
• Demonstrate a commitment to county safety and risk management efforts.
