Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid state issued license is required.
  • Follow all DOT standards and regulations.
  • Must currently have, acquire, and/or maintain a valid DOT Medical card in order to meet driver requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of computers.
  • Ability to read and understand customer technical data and schematics.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet order deadlines.
  • Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
  • Be goal oriented, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines, build relationships, and enjoy a team atmosphere.
  • Possess a positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • A self-motivator and have an ambition to succeed.
  • Enthusiastic, courteous, and articulate.
  • Ability to learn quickly.
  • Pre-employment drug and background screening required.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 to 5 years experience is preferred but not required.
  • Valve & actuator industrial experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assembly of all automated packages.
  • Follow all established standard operating procedures for valve automation, including maintaining a safe and organized workspace and observing necessary safety precautions during assembly, testing, storage, and transfer of product.
  • Follow all proper procedures for set up, use and maintenance of tools, and equipment in the automation center.
  • Courteous interaction and communication with inside and outside sales, management, and warehouse personnel.
  • Professional interaction with customers when addressing questions and concerns about automated packages.
  • Troubleshoot automated packages, in house and in the field, to perform necessary work and repairs.
  • Assist with developing automated valve sales training program.
  • Perform functional automated valve testing, record, and store data.
  • Work closely with inspectors to meet customer demands.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% is required. Travel may include overnight stays for field service projects and support at other Ferguson locations.
  • May be responsible for providing driver duties and responsibilities.
