About The Position

To assist in the every day functions of the Valve Repair Department while learning every aspect needed to become a Repair Technician.

Requirements

• Mechanical Aptitude is a must.
• Ability to learn quickly.
• Ability to climb up to 100ft and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to Travel.
• Must have valid Drivers License with clean driving record.
• Ability to pass criminal background check.
• Must be physically able to perform essential job functions, may need to wear a respirator when required.
• Ability to accurately complete all documentation required.
• Good Verbal Communication and Follows Instructions.

Responsibilities

• Dis-Assembly of Valves.
• Performs sandblasting.
• Cleans Valves.
• Inspects Valves
• Properly documents all information from the valve nameplates on the relief valve to ticket.
• Paint valves.
• Tag stamping and properly attaching tag.
• Sealing & Wiring - finishing of relief valve.
• Performs shop maintenance.
• Travels with mobile unit.
• Climbs up to 100ft.
• Lifts up to 50 lbs.
• Wears respirator when required.
• Inspects Personal Protection Equipment.
• Satisfactory progress in the Mercer Valve Training Program.
• Complete all necessary Safety Training.
• Start SSE Program.
