About The Position

H2 O Innovation is seeking a Valve Exercise Technician to join its water and wastewater treatment team in Gulfport, Mississippi. The technician will locate and exercise valves in the water system, record and upload GPS coordinates to the appropriate GIS system, and determine the system’s proper flow orientation. The role also involves maintaining and safeguarding equipment so it remains operational. Candidates must pass criminal background and motor vehicle record checks, as well as drug and alcohol screenings.

Requirements

• Valid Mississippi driver's license.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of work hazards and safety precautions associated with the equipment.
• Ability to walk long distances outdoors daily and lift loads over 40 pounds.
• Ability to understand maps and engineering prints.
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
• Ability to make decisions and follow company procedures.
• Pass criminal background and motor vehicle record checks, as well as drug and alcohol screenings.

Responsibilities

• Locate, GPS, and exercise water-system valves.
• Upload GPS coordinates to the appropriate GIS system.
• Determine the proper flow orientation of the water system.
• Maintain and safeguard equipment to keep it in operational condition.
