About The Position

The Dixon Group is looking for a Valve Assembler to join their team in Houston, TX. In this position, you will perform a variety of valve manufacturing duties that will include cleaning, assembling, testing, and packaging of customer orders. May use automated testing equipment. Requirements

Devoted to a task or purpose with loyalty or integrity.
Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well.
Familiarity with hydrostatic testing equipment.
Ability to lift 30 lbs.
Ability to read measuring equipment and pressure gauges.
Basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

Assemble, NDT test, package, and ship valves in accordance with strict written procedures.
Fill out and maintain the material traceability documents needed for the tracking of the valve and components.
Assemble, disassemble, repair, and recondition industrial valves according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
Perform functional, pneumatic, hydrostatic, and leak testing to verify valve performance.
Inspect components for wear, damage, and dimensional accuracy using precision measuring equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, bills of materials, and technical specifications.
Maintain accurate documentation for production, inspection, and testing.
Operate hand tools, torque tools, lifting equipment, and testing fixtures safely.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following 5S and safety requirements.
