About The Position
Ontic is hiring a Value Stream Quality Engineer for its Creedmoor, North Carolina facility, which supports a diverse portfolio of civil and military aircraft products across electronic, avionic, and electro-mechanical aerospace capabilities. The role takes an end-to-end view of quality across a product value stream, including the supply base, manufacturing processes, and customer requirements. The engineer uses data, quality tools, and structured problem-solving to identify risk, assess performance, and drive improvement while collaborating across teams.
Requirements
- Experience supporting quality across products, manufacturing processes, and/or supply chain activities.
- Experience conducting product or process audits and working to established procedures and customer requirements.
- Ability to lead risk assessments and support effective risk-management decisions.
- Experience with root cause analysis and structured problem-solving.
- Ability to develop, analyze, and interpret quality metrics and trends using statistical analysis tools.
- Experience supporting or leading continuous improvement activities.
- Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Must meet export control compliance requirements as a “U.S. Person,” defined as a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee.
Responsibilities
- Ensure products and processes are maintained in accordance with established procedures and customer requirements.
- Perform product and process audits to verify compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Lead risk assessments and help drive decisions about appropriate risk-management procedures.
- Initiate and drive continuous improvement activities across the product value stream.
- Develop and maintain quality metrics and trends using statistical analysis tools.
- Lead and participate in root cause analysis to identify and address quality issues.
- Support the development of cost-reduction initiatives through continuous improvement and structured problem-solving.
