At Emerson Flow Control, we're seeking a Value Stream Manager to lead one of the manufacturing value streams at our flagship North Texas facility in Sherman, Texas. As the business leader for your operation, you'll have the opportunity to shape strategy, influence results, and lead a talented team in a high-mix, configure-to-order manufacturing environment. In this highly visible leadership role, you'll be responsible for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People (SQDCP) while driving Lean transformation, developing future leaders, and partnering across Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing Technology, and Customer Service to deliver exceptional results for our customers. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field. (In absence of degree, 8 years of experience in discrete manufacturing will suffice.)
  • 4 years of manufacturing leadership experience in a discrete manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading high-mix, configure-to-order manufacturing operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and operational excellence principles.
  • Proven experience leading supervisors and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US - visa sponsorship will not be provided.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree or MBA.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP.
  • Experience in industrial equipment, valves, or other complex manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated success leading value stream or operational transformations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end manufacturing operations, including machining, assembly, testing, and supporting functions.
  • Own Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People (SQDCP) performance.
  • Drive schedule attainment, operational flow, throughput, and customer delivery performance.
  • Lead implementation and sustainment of the Emerson Lean Operating System.
  • Champion daily management, visual management, standard work, problem solving, and continuous improvement.
  • Eliminate waste and improve productivity through Lean principles and data-driven decision making.
  • Develop operating plans aligned with customer demand and the SIOP process.
  • Optimize labor, inventory, equipment, and capital resources.
  • Deliver productivity, cost, capacity, and financial performance objectives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, planners, engineers, and other value stream leaders.
  • Build a culture of accountability, engagement, continuous learning, and succession planning.
  • Collaborate with Materials, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Technology, Quality, Maintenance, Customer Service, and other functions to remove constraints and improve operational performance.
  • Support new product introductions, capital projects, and manufacturing process improvements while ensuring operational readiness.
