About The Position
Valmont is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the Value Stream Group Leader position in the Pultrusion Composite department 1st Shift. We are looking for a highly driven individual that will be responsible for leading associates in maintaining a safe, high quality, efficient working environment. Additionally, you will… Lead associates in maintaining a safe, high quality, efficient working environment Exercise a strong emphasis on Lean methodology to drive short and long term improvements Complete daily Leader Standard work requirements Ensure all associates are following Standard Work Assign work stations and schedule overtime accordingly to maintain manageable work in process and meet on-time delivery requirements Ensure housekeeping is in order and meets all DHEC and OSHA requirements Order and maintain supplies and proper PPE for associates Ensure that all daily and weekly paperwork/shop orders are completed and submitted. Heavy Equipment Inspection (overhead cranes, manual and powered forklifts, process equipment, etc.) Light Equipment Inspection (elec. Cords, fans, work tables, hand tools, carts, etc.) Safety Inspection (shower & eye wash stations, slings, hooks, chemical container labeling, chemical container grounding, etc.) Equipment mechanical readiness inspection Equipment issue reporting and follow-up Employee Absence- Flex employees and/or fill in as needed to support continuous flow First Article Inspections Review product quality standards Audit Operator Standard Work Evaluate and sign Hour by Hour Charts Respond to Andon Signals Nominate recognition opportunities 5S Audits Insure completion of daily DHEC compliance documents Insure completion of Daily Cleanup Procedures
Requirements
- No Diploma
- 5-7 years experience
Responsibilities
