This role involves coaching commodity teams for a specific subdivision through the entire process of value creation, from developing a factual basis to executing negotiations. The buyer will challenge teams to adopt a should-cost mindset, bring a fresh perspective, and ensure daily progress through check-ins, task allocation, and accountability. Support will be provided in applying analytical tools for material cost optimization, and the buyer may conduct analyses and generate ideas themselves. Stakeholder involvement in negotiation preparation will be facilitated, and teams will be prepared through robust fact-basing and mock negotiations. The buyer may also take over negotiation strategy and execution when necessary, approve negotiation results, and act as a liaison between commodity teams and Value Creation Program leadership. The role reports hierarchically to the head of the EE VCAL team and functionally to the global head of the DMC Subdivision.
