About The Position

This role takes an active role in valuation engagement execution and supports leadership with engagement management. The Valuation Staff applies traditional and cutting-edge valuation approaches and methods to a variety of corporate finance analyses. The position involves working on business valuation engagements for transactions, financial reporting, and tax. Key responsibilities include managing document production, analyzing historical financial and operating results, challenging future financial projections, building financial models, assisting with discount rate development, performing financial statement analysis, conducting market/industry research, and preparing valuation reports. The role requires maintaining active communication with supervisors throughout engagements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in related field
  • Ability to work on multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written (including technical writing) and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with US GAAP
  • Basic technical skills in financial modeling, model valuation, and model building (Excel-based).

Responsibilities

  • Works on business valuation engagements, including valuations for transactions, financial reporting and tax.
  • Manages document production and inventory documents.
  • Analyzes historical financial and operating results of target companies to explain business trends and identify risks.
  • Analyzes and challenges assumptions related to future financial projections.
  • Works on financial models for discounted cash flow, market multiple, market transaction and option pricing analyses.
  • Assists in the development of discount rates (WACC).
  • Conducts financial statement analysis (e.g., common size analysis, trend analysis, and industry comparative analysis).
  • Performs market/industry research and develop industry growth estimates.
  • Assists with preparation of valuation reports.
  • Maintains active communication with supervisors throughout engagements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
