About The Position

The Valuation Control Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for leading efforts in the Independent Price Verification, Valuation Adjustment and Fair Value Hierarchy processes. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of Valuation Control industry trends, contributing to the directional strategy of the Valuation Control function, anticipating the impact to daily work and the business, and evaluating and resolving complex valuation issues. The role requires the ability to exercise independence of judgement and significant autonomy, begin developing mastery of knowledge of product valuation, industry practices and standards, and appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Requirements

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience with equity products and price testing
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Excel, VBA and Python
  • Experience working efficiently and comfortably with large datasets using Excel/VBA/Python is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with global teams to execute, review and own valuation results is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of Valuation Control industry trends
  • Contribute to the directional strategy of the Valuation Control function, anticipating the impact to daily work and the business
  • Execution, collation, analysis and ownership of Independent Price Verification (IPV) results. This will typically involve working with pricing tools and compiling data for analysis across large datasets.
  • Evaluate and resolve complex valuation issues and select the best action by weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting needs
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and significant autonomy.
  • Begin developing mastery of knowledge of product valuation, industry practices and standards
